Story of a Blind Woman and her Son

Once upon a time,a blind old woman lived
with her son and his wife.they were very
poor.the old woman always pray to GOD.
One day GOD appeared to her and said
"old woman i am moved by your prayer i
will grantu one wish.ask me for one thing".
she replied that she don't know what to
ask.GOD then told her to ask her son and
wifefor advice.
when she asked her son,he told
her"mother ask for a lot of money".
when she asked her son's wife,the wife
said"no,mother ask for a grandson".
sad that they asked for what they wanted
andnot for what she wanted,the old
woman went to see a wise neighbour.she
told him everything.he told her"why
should you ask formoney or for a
grandson?ask GOD to make you see".
She thought about it and knew the man
was right.
The next day when she prayed,GOD
appeared to her again.he asked her"Have
you made up your mind?"
"Yes.i want to see my grandson drinking
milk from a golden bowl. Give me that"she
replied.
GOD was happy "You have asked me for
everything. A promise is a promise and
you shall have what you want? He gave her
what she wanted.
She, together with her son and his
wife,lived happily ever after.
